Gil Dudgeon

JP’s left hand man and closest musical collaborator for decades, Gil Dudgeon started out playing rock and roll in the early 80s with the popular band Slipstream. By ‘86, with both their first bands in the books, Gil hooked up with JP to form Bluesberry Jam and they started going down the road to the blues together. In subsequent years, Gil has worked with Juno-nominated band Country Hearts and eventually found himself playing big band swing with the Murray Riddell Orchestra, experiences that would serve him well. Fast forward a few more years and Gil rejoined JP upon his return to Manitoba, playing live and recording on the band’s debut album, My Best Regards. By now a respected drummer on the Winnipeg blues scene, Gil has since been called up on occasion to play with Winnipeg legend, Big Dave McLean as well as with Manitoba GOAT guitarist, Brent Parkin and others. Today, Gil divides his time between playing with popular rocknblues band, Link and the Moustaches, the fabulous Jayme Giesbrecht and her Soul Revue Band, and his old friend, JP.
